Blog Button

I now have a blog button! I am afraid that I cannot take the credit for it and it was actually Alex-Rose from rainingcakeandcookies who made the button for me but without her I am quite sure that I would be button-less right now. I don't know if you noticed but I actually button swapped with her and her button can be found on the right hand side.

This brings me on to say, Would you like to swap buttons? (that sounds a lot more sexual than it actually should!) I would be happy to swap buttons with you if you believe that my blog audience is the type of blog audience you would like to attract. If so please email me and I will send you the html (I think that is what it is called) for my button.

Sorry for the short post it is just that at the moment I am super busy revising. Such Fun!

Hope you have a great week!

Polish Mille Feuille

The other day I brought this kit from a Polish shop and the closet thing that I can liken it to is a Mille Feuille.
It think that it tasted very nice but if I am completely honest with you, it was not what I was expecting.

After some translation issues I finally managed to make it and this is what happened through pictures. I have not put the recipe up because I do not believe that to be necessary but here is what happened...

Chocolate Barrel Cake Recipe

This barrel chocolate cake style is all over the internet, so much so that I like to call it the Chocolate Tumblr Cake. It was my friends birthday and so I decided to make her this cake because I think that this cake is very celebratory and just perfect for a special occasion.

Can I just say that although the picture is going round, I personally couldn't find a recipe so this may be one of the first actual recipes!! (Probably most definitely not true)

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Chocolate Buttercream Recipe

I don't particularly care for buttercream because well, it is just to buttery and oily and I think that a bad buttercream ruins a cake. But not this recipe, it is so smooth and for me just right. It is a really simple recipe and adding 4 tablespoons of milk will make all the difference. This recipe is really light and airy and it makes a nice change from the 'traditional' buttercream. Just like me, once you make this once, you will not turn back.
