Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Chocolate Buttercream Recipe

I don't particularly care for buttercream because well, it is just to buttery and oily and I think that a bad buttercream ruins a cake. But not this recipe, it is so smooth and for me just right. It is a really simple recipe and adding 4 tablespoons of milk will make all the difference. This recipe is really light and airy and it makes a nice change from the 'traditional' buttercream. Just like me, once you make this once, you will not turn back.

Ingredients:
> 115g Softened butter, cubed (Take the butter out of the fridge 30-45mins before you want to make the buttercream)
>115g icing sugar (you can add more if you like a sweeter buttercream)
>1/2 cup, 60g cocoa powder
>1tsp vanilla extract
>4tbsp milk

Methods:
1. Using a spatula, mix the icing sugar, cocoa powder and butter together until all the icing sugar has mixed together.

2. Then beat the mixture with a hand mixer until smooth and add the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

3. Done!
